Texas Historical Commission sponsored redevelopment of the downtown area of Eagle Lake, Texas. A three day charrette focused on the economic and cultural rebirth of the town square. The issues explored included the location of the new city hall, indentity of the town as viewed from the highway, and reinvention of the town square as a link between retail and cultural activities. Careful consideration was given to making safe and attractive pedestrian connections between important elements of the town.
